How to upload products correctly? Basic concepts and recommendations

In this section of the Seller Center Manual, you will learn to familiarize yourself with some concepts that will help you understand the Seller Center and how it works. These concepts will help you create products in the most optimal way. Here is a video of these concepts, let's get started!

In case you need to remember something, we leave you the description of some of these concepts.

Glossary of Terms

  1. Active

It is a term used to indicate that a product has been approved by the content team, but is still in the upload process for each ecommerce.

  1. Pending

This term indicates that the product has not yet been approved by the content team and is being reviewed for its respective approval.

  1. Rejected

It is a term used to specify that the product has been rejected by the content team because it does not meet the standards to be uploaded to the web. This does not mean that your product is totally excluded. It should be re-edited and improved as the content team indicates.

  1. ID

This is a field that the system generates automatically and correlatively when a product is created and therefore cannot be modified or completed.

  1. UPC

It is an EAN code also known as a unique product code or barcode.

In case your products do not have this information, you can enter a number to recognize your products. The only thing they must bear in mind is that this data must be numeric and greater than 6 digits.

It is recommended to avoid common or easy numbers. If this is not fulfilled, the product will be rejected. Bear in mind that this data cannot be edited once created.

  1. SKU ID

This data is automatically generated when creating the variants

As there is no other variant, the Name field must be filled in exactly with the name that the product was created, this must be written exactly the same. This name also appears at the top of the pop up.

  1. Category

The category is associated with the type of product that will be created and allows us to organize the content in each ecommerce. When we configure the category, when we click on the category field, a pop-up will open that allows us to search for the category, in which the product you are creating will be found and you must select it.

For example: Baby care. Automatically when selecting the category, the fields to be completed for the specifications will appear on the right. (This category is not where your products will be found on the websites, it basically helps us to complete attributes because each e-commerce has a different category tree).

  1. Product Name

The product name field will be displayed on the web and this field must be filled under certain parameters, otherwise the content team will not be able to activate it. Products will be named as follows: Product Type + Brand + Model + Featured Attributes. For example: Cellphone Samsung Galaxy A50 64GB BLUE / Quilt Aquarela spring 2-seater.

  1. Description

The description field is textual and will be displayed on the websites. It is recommended to write more emotional descriptions or general descriptions. The more technical details are completed in the "Specifications" part.

  1. Product brand

It is the brand of the product that will be marketed and if you do not locate the brand, you must ask the content team to create this brand, to do so you must register a ticket in "support"

  1. Attributes

The attribute fields are not all required, but it is required to complete at least 70% of these fields. Since it is a decisive factor at the time of purchase.
 Sites (Choose the sites to which your products are addressed).

  1. Regular price

It is the final price that the customer sees on the website of each e-commerce.

  1. Discounted Price

It is the discounted price that the customer sees on the website of each e-commerce.

  1. Valid to

It allows you to select the date until when the discount is valid. The date must be in the format year-month-day to be accepted by the system.

  1. Measures with packaging

These measurements are used to calculate product dispatch costs and these measurements are not visible to the customer. It is important that these fields are completed with whole numbers (not decimals) because the system does not allow the use of periods or commas. The volume field is automatically calculated by the system.

  1. Select image

All products must be created with an associated image which must be in jpg or png format and must have a maximum size of 1000*1000px.
